Hands on interactive fun learning about the best of science.  This class will require kids to get their hands on everything and 'play' with science and actually test what happens - we all know baking soda and vinegar is fun, but what about other acids and bases?  Knowing light is a wave is one thing, playing around with how to put on a show by refracting, or focusing light is way more fun. Learners will need a snack and water bottle.

Your child will be introduced to the core concepts of executive function. These lessons include how to:

Follow directions and gain awareness of expected behaviors

Set goals and stay on task

Manage time and learn how to keep organized

Learn how to break assignments into smaller parts

Think flexibly and build a growth mindset

Focus and strengthen working memory

Learn how to cope with strong emotions

Monitor their own progress and develop self-reflection skills

Strengthening these skills will ensure better outcomes for your child both in and out of the classroom.

Through our program, your elementary student will develop self-understanding to know which strategies work best as they complete their schoolwork. They will learn to work through challenges independently and reduce stress and anxiety when they feel stuck.

**$350 per month, September through May.** You will receive an invoice from October through May for $350 per month to participate in this class. One registration fee per learner is required to register for this or any class.

Reading/Spelling Discoveries is an intensive reading and spelling program designed for reading and spelling readiness, emergent readers and spellers, struggling readers and spellers or gifted children with unique learning styles. Your child will receive targeted instruction in areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, spelling, listening & reading comprehension skills. Reading/Spelling Discoveries uses an Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach.Orton-Gillingham is a language-based, multi-sensory, structured, and sequential method of instruction that assists struggling students by activating visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic sense to enhance learning and memory. This group meets twice a week for two hours. This 1pm to 3pm group will have a snack and play break.

**$200 per month, Octobert through May.** You will receive an invoice from November through May for $200 per month to participate in this class. One registration fee per learner is required to register for this or any class. This class enrollment includes a $25 supply fee. 

The focus of this class will be to strengthen Science,Technology, Engineering, Art and Math skills with hands on projects. We will be working onmany different projects. We will include these (and MANY MORE) projects: *If I Built A House

*Air-Powered Fireworks

**$175 per month, January through May.** You will receive an invoice from January through May for $175 per month to participate in this class. One registration fee per learner is required to register for this or any class.
