***SEWING MACHINE PROVIDED.*** In this class, ages 10 and up , students will learn the basics of machine sewing. Students will learn the parts of the machine and how to use the sewing machine, examine patterns and pattern layouts, learn sewing terms, and create samples for their sewing portfolio. Projects will include a tablecloth, an apron, pajama pants, a tote bag,and MORE!
4th-5th Travel Through Time Learning About Historical Figures Weds 11am -1pm, WX

**$150 per month, September through May.** You will receive an invoice from October through May for $150 per month to participate in this class. One registration fee per learner is required to register for this or any class.
Have your passports ready, we are going to travel through time and learn about many historical figures.
We will take our journey studying Famous Explorers, Native Americans, Women and History, Black History, Inventors, and many more.
4th-8th Flights of Fantasy Book Club M/W 11am-1pm IT
with Erin Watters

Explore the art of World Building with our Fantasy Book Club. Imaginations will flourish as we explore fantasy novels paired with engaging activities to help bring our books to life! We will include works by Brandon Sanderson, C.S. Lewis and others with student input on interests to help shape our journey. (Book list will be released before the first class.)

**$200 per month, September through May.** You will receive an invoice from October through May for $200 per month to participate in this class. One registration fee per learner is required to register for this or any class.
This two-hour class will be filled with instruction and activities. This class will be designed around the needs of the students and what concepts that need more attention. OPTIONAL Spectrum Math workbook for either grade 5 or 6 can be used for reinforcement (or another similar resource). Content includes: decimals, fractions, operation with rational number, proportions and percentages.

5th-7th Adventurers Book Club M/W 11am-1pm IT
with Jan Davis
**$225 per month, September through May.** You will receive an invoice from October through May for $225 per month to participate in this class. One registration fee per learner is required to register for this or any class.
For students on similar reading levels, who will enjoy reading the same book together as a group and possible follow up with reading assignments at home. We will work on reading strategies, comprehension, inferencing and basic writing skills. Some books may have a movie counterpart, which we would watch to compare and contrast.
Book titles TBD. Some books being considered are the following: “Frindle” by Clements, The Chocolate Touch” by Apple, “Charlotte’s Web” by White, “Glory Be” by Scattergood, “Hatchet” by Paulsen, “Bridge to Terabithia” by Paterson, “From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler” by Kongsburg, “Slob” by Potter, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas” by Boyne, “Racing in the Rain” by Stein. I would like to have the learners input before deciding.

Studies show that children regularly engaged in creativity, such as crafting, painting and drawing develop a greater capacity for problem,, solving, risk taking, visual understanding, and communication skills. Art boosts self-esteem and provides a sense of accomplishment.
Students of any level will learn art fundamentals, color mixing, collage, textures, art history and also about the most important artists around the world and their amazing journeys, we will explore different art movements in search of everyone's unique style.

This class will have a very interesting mix of Spanish and Art, we will learn about colors, shapes, lines, patterns and different types of mediums while learning Spanish, also we will focus on art history learning about the most famous Spanish artists and their influence around the world. This class will help everyone with motor skills, enhancing their creativity to the fullest, this will be a very sensory hands-on class and we probably get messy sometimes but it will be totally worth it. Viva el arte!

Hola, amigos! This class is to help children learn the Spanish language through fun, hands-on activities, interaction and speech! There are no boring conjugations of verbs here. Mrs. Rodriguez will guide our learners though the seasons with extensive vocabulary, phrasing and speech patterns. Hasta Septiembre!
