This class is geared toward 1st- 5th grade learners. This four-hour class consists of approximately 2 hours of instruction and activities. We then have a 30 minute lunch/ recess break, and 1.5 hours of more activities. The focus of this class will be to strengthen Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math skills in real-world and hands on applications. Contents include: Budgets, fractions and portions in baking, blue prints, etc. We will be working on different projects than what we did in the previous year, so students are more than welcome to take this class again!

Studies show that children regularly engaged in creativity, such as crafting, painting and drawing develop a greater capacity for problem,, solving, risk taking, visual understanding, and communication skills. Art boosts self-esteem and provides a sense of accomplishment.

Students of any level will learn art fundamentals, color mixing, collage, textures, art history and also about the most important artists around the world and their amazing journeys, we will explore different art movements in search of everyone's unique style.

The goal is to help promote independence, self-confidence and a love of learning. We will go outside everyday, maybe multiple times, even in the rain. We will explore, get dirty and go on adventures! I have a love of children’s literature that I hope to share with your children. Our literacy exploration will lead to learning the alphabet, letter sounds and even early reading. Math and science will be hands-on. We will learn that we can all be little scientists with fun, messy experiments! I am excited to create rich environments for learning, and forge strong home-school connections. It will be a GREAT year!
