This introductory Chemistry will be filled with science instruction and activities. (Things might get messy!) This class can count towards High School Chemistry credit, however, it is appropriate for 7-8th graders as well. Content includes: matter, chemical/physical changes, periodic table, atomic structure, balancing chemical reactions, and more.
Elementary Spanish and Art Explosion Tues/Thurs 11am-1pm IT

This class will have a very interesting mix of Spanish and Art, we will learn about colors, shapes, lines, patterns and different types of mediums while learning Spanish, also we will focus on art history learning about the most famous Spanish artists and their influence around the world. This class will help everyone with motor skills, enhancing their creativity to the fullest, this will be a very sensory hands-on class and we probably get messy sometimes but it will be totally worth it. Viva el arte!

In this class, young students will learn about the exciting field of veterinary medicine and explore the different ways that veterinarians help animals stay healthy and happy. They will learn about the different types of animals that veterinarians care for, including pets, farm animals, and exotic species. Through interactive activities and discussions, students will develop a deeper understanding of animal anatomy, physiology, and common health problems that animals face.

Hola, amigos! This class is to help children learn the Spanish language through fun, hands-on activities, interaction and speech! There are no boring conjugations of verbs here. Mrs. Rodriguez will guide our learners though the seasons with extensive vocabulary, phrasing and speech patterns. Hasta Septiembre!

Your child will be introduced to the core concepts of executive function. These lessons include how to:
Follow directions and gain awareness of expected behaviors
Set goals and stay on task
Manage time and learn how to keep organized
Learn how to break assignments into smaller parts
Think flexibly and build a growth mindset
Focus and strengthen working memory
Learn how to cope with strong emotions
Monitor their own progress and develop self-reflection skills
Strengthening these skills will ensure better outcomes for your child both in and out of the classroom.
Through our program, your elementary student will develop self-understanding to know which strategies work best as they complete their schoolwork. They will learn to work through challenges independently and reduce stress and anxiety when they feel stuck.

This one-hour class will be filled with instruction and activities. This class will be designed around the needs of the students and what concepts that need more attention. Learners will experience fun activities, utilize manipulatives, and engage in learning that requires critical thinking. We will be focusing on counting to 100, counting by 10s, addition, etc. We will also be looking at different Geometry concepts, like shapes and angles.
5th-8th Muggles and Magic T/Th 1-3pm IT
with Erin Watters
**$200 per month, September through May.** You will receive an invoice from October through May for $200 per month to participate in this class. One registration fee per learner is required to register for this or any class.
Calling all muggles! Come and explore the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! Muggles and Magic is an engaging and hands-on reading and science club for Harry Potter fans in grades 5-8. Students will strengthen their vocabulary skills and reading comprehension using data-driven reading strategies and other literary elements. This will be done through rich discussions and creative projects such as writing a Wizarding newspaper and creating their own spell book to complete a study of Latin and word roots. We will also explore the science behind Hogwarts classes such as Herbology, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, and Transfiguration. In Herbology, students will study plants with a magical twist. Dissecting a flower, studying the life cycle of a plant, and creating a field guide of herbs are some of the fun projects we will do in this class. Bring your camping chair for reading outside and be prepared to be sorted into your rightful Hogwarts house by the sorting hat. We will start off the year with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
*$25 Lab fee required for consumables. This will be included on your first invoice.

Age 10-17 Critical Thinking and Logic Games Tues 1-3pm IT
with Guinevere Chadwick
**$100 per month, September through May.** You will receive an invoice from October through May for $100 per month to participate in this class. NO REGISTRATION FEE REQUIRED FOR THIS CLASS ONLY.
Students will build critical thinking skills through chess, logic puzzles and many more games. Some games will be cooperative while others competitive, but all will be played while we strategize and practice good sportsmanship. Learners will need a snack and water bottle.
